Introduction

My name is Mark Hibbins and I am the director of Clockwork Computer Services Ltd. The company was formed in 1996 and is the vehicle through which I provide contract based software development services. I am based in Thames Valley area.

I am predominantly a Java specialist (although I dabbled with C# for a year). I have provided solutions for various clients in the form of Java applications and Java based web applications. I am conversant in OO design and UML and tend to favour contracts with teams that work in an agile manner. The broad range of responsibilities I am normally given tends to be designer/implementer, sometimes mentor and occasionally technical lead.

I am a confident communicator and fit well into existing teams and I am also capable of working to tight deadlines without sacrificing quality. I am keen to understand and use current technologies and techniques and I spend much of my time between contracts updating my skills and working on personal projects which put these new skills to a practical test.

My Goal

My goal is to produce well designed and cleanly implemented solutions to meet the requirements of my clients. The solutions are documented and tested in order to ensure that the software I create continues to be viable and maintainable after contracts are complete.
